  • The Ministry of Shipping has selected this port among five other ports of India for the advancement of cruise terminals. On the Eastern coast, it is the sole port with the cruise terminal.
  • With its sister ports Belgium and Canada, it has entered into a mutual agreement to work together in the field of technical expertise, tourism, container terminal and cruise information.
